How This Started
The real reason this room exists.
Gonzalo is a serial entrepreneur who never finished college. His daughter challenged him to go back and finish his degree. He said, "What the hell, why not?" - and enrolled at FGCU.
What he didn't expect was the revelation that came from being in the room with young, hungry, ambitious students, while also having spent his career working alongside people who ran Inc. 5000 companies and billion-dollar organizations. He saw the gap immediately. Raw, untapped talent on one side. Hard-won wisdom and real-world experience on the other. Two generations, both incredible, barely talking to each other.

Gonzalo is also a partner in an events business in Austin, Texas that has been running for 18 years, where professionals gather, connect, and build real relationships. He looked at Southwest Florida and thought: "We don't have anything like this here."
And then it clicked. Southwest Florida is a perfect melting pot. FGCU brings young, ambitious people who are native to AI and new technology.
